So, I guess I'm blogging now, huh?

On Sunday, 12 December 2010, I had the pleasure of attending Erin Cronican's Bite Size Business Soiree, which she describes as "a one of a kind event that empowers actors to take back control of their careers." The subject of this particular soiree was: Creating a Compelling Website.

I've managed my own website for years, but one of my challenges was automating the "News" page. I would normally go in and manually update the page every time I had a new project to market. But with the ease of making announcements via my Twitter and Facebook social media channels, I found myself (dare I say) failing to update the "News" page of my website. It got to the point where I pulled the "News" page down, in the hope the my Twitter and Facebook pages would be enough.  I have learned that while actors should have a Twitter and Facebook presence,
Casting Directors usually go to your website first.

Something had to be done.

So I posed the question to Erin who, point-blank: Make your news page a blog and incorporate it
into your site.

Could it really be this simple? Let's see.

Wish me luck!
