I was honored when Tom Marion, actor/director and theater instructor at York College/CUNY (my alma mater), invited me to speak to their Performing Arts students about Show "Business."
I believe most actors starting out are taught about the "show"... but, they're not taught about the "business." Once they graduate, they have to fend for themselves in the "real world" (which is not altogether a bad thing). I consider myself fortunate to be in a position where I can share my insights and experiences with these actors so they can enter the "real world" already armed with the tools most newer actors have to learn over time.
While nothing guarantees success, I'm sure the information I'll share will help.
